During last weekend (May 10/11) our young player Ruixiang Wang participated two tournaments in neighbouring state Hessen. In both tournaments Ruixiang played in U15 single (one age higher).
Saturday: 2. D-RLT HES Darmstadt U9-U19 2025 | in Seeheim-Jugenheim (Darmstadt)
In Darmstadt, Ruixiang smoothly fineshed two rounds and advanced to the semifinals. There, he faced the eventual champion, Harshithram Saravanakumar, also from BWBV. Unfortunately, Ruixiang then had to fight for third and fourth place. Nevertheless, he managed to make it onto the podium in the small final against Noel Yildiz (TV Hofheim), celebrating his first U15 bronze medal at a D-level tournament.

2. D-RLT 2025 HES KS U11-U19 + U22 Goldfeder-Cup | in Korbach
After his performance in Darmstadt, Ruixiang traveled almost 200 kilometers further to prepare for his next tournament in Korbach. Unlike in Darmstadt, Ruixiang was not seeded among the top four, but had to start from the beginning. With the confidence he gained from Saturday, Ruixiang reached the semifinals again, but, just like in Darmstadt, narrowly lost to the eventual champion Yang Wen (SC GW Paderborn). However, his will to win led him to 3rd place, leaving his opponent with single-digit scores in both sets.
Es war eine großartige Leistung für Ruixiang, an einem Wochenende zweimal den dritten Platz zu erreichen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
